1. He went on to gain a Master of Surgery degree from the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine. 2. In 1922 he qualified as Master of Surgery . 3. Later, he received the degrees bachelor of medicine and master of surgery from the University of London. 4. In 1991 he graduated with a Master of Surgery in orthopaedics and was awarded a Gold medal. 5. He was awarded a doctorate in medicine and a master of surgery degree from McGill University in 1983. 6. In 1817 Glasgow became the first British university to offer a separate degree in surgery, the Master of Surgery . 7. He graduated from University of Aberdeen with degrees in Master of Surgery , Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Law. 8. He also did the coursework for a Master of Surgery ( MS ), and this degree was conferred in 1912. 9. He studied at St . Thomas'Hospital, where he passed his finals in 1881 and became a Master of Surgery the following year. 10. MDCM is from the Latin " Medicinae Doctorem et Chirurgiae Magistrum " meaning " doctor of medicine and master of surgery ".
